My Review

I love books about rockstars. I loved Thoughtless, well mostly Kellan. But I love getting to see how musicians live their rock star bad ass lives. Being a singer at heart, especially loving the country genre, I loved reading about Kylie's career as it was getting a jump start. Then add Trace to the mix, and it was just great-angsty and complicated, but awesome nonetheless. This was a great continuation to the Girl with Guitar.

Now most people have to have their HEA, and I'm one of those, but I also know that we don't always get an HEA all the time. So this ends on a cliffie, and even though it's got me begging for the last book of the series, I've got a great feeling that we'll get what we want when it's all said and done. I mean, we have to, right?

I love Kylie and Trace. They're wonderful characters with struggles that are as realistic as say, Tim and Faith. Being a musician can be overwhelming, especially when you're trying to keep up with a relationship with a hot musician. There's a lot of emotions, expectations, insecurities, drama, and when you're trying to stay out of the lime-light, it's really difficult. Add more problems such as going on two different tours. You have to keep up with a long-distance relationship while keeping your career going. It's a lot of pressure. But that's what makes it real, because that's exactly what rockstars these days go through, lots of self-discovery and independence and chasing a dream that so many others would kill for.

All in all, I enjoyed this book. I look forward to Girl in Love. I give this book 5/5 stars. Great job!
